Violins

Vibration makes
hands neuropathic
They tremble
on the baby’s carriage
A shattered jar of fireflies
severs a tendon
crippling me
There are so many ways
life can go badly
The holy stiffness of my neck
double taps to repay
the aborted child
in eternal nighttime agony
We are bound to unwind
and our jaws relax
when we finally meet
hands neuropathic
They tremble
on the baby’s carriage
A shattered jar of fireflies
severs a tendon
crippling me
There are so many ways
life can go badly
The holy stiffness of my neck
double taps to repay
the aborted child
in eternal nighttime agony
We are bound to unwind
and our jaws relax
when we finally meet
