White spark stark against matte dark
Touch the wall before you touch
The floor
Float above the mezzanine
Kitten heeled and long hazeled and
Deified by lookyloos
Anoint their lower caste in tuberose
You have something special so
They want to wear your skin
Your fertility has driven lesser poets to
Madness
Pay no attention to their voiceless
Agony
I cannot bear the paradox
Endlessly repeated
But never understood
To call it a poem
Forecloses the possibility of
Poetry
