Nighttime Poem

“I was cozy,” you say when I turn away
to get a drink of water from my water
glass. “I was dreaming,” you say. “About rocks
on a map.” “What?” I ask just because I want to
hear you say it again. “Rocks on a map.”
You say sleepily and you turn over
and go back to sleep. I take one more sip
of water and turn out the light.
That’s it for this one.
