I watched him through beaded necklaces swinging on a nail asleep on the old white sofa with the pink roses on it I could see his chest rising and falling.

drunk philosopher gave me a sheepskin coat on the edge of the highway the sun was so hot dripping halo I spread my arms like an angel.

He lit me a room full of candles I never told him anything true

I remember him walking down a pretty street dragging the heaviest shadow,
walking away.
