I think about you all the time
You’re a hoax and I like that about you
Humorous, already!
You’re supernatural, you’re a specter
Figments of you haunt me
The fun let’s-see-a-horror-movie fear
Silken threads of you unfold into
Lily whiteness, summoned from stamen
Tender and rhythmic with life
I’m shot through with little sighs of you
I’ve killed you a thousand times with copper
If it was as simple as wanting you
I’d grow you and keep you for my own
You’re a hoax and I like that about you
Humorous, already!
You’re supernatural, you’re a specter
Figments of you haunt me
The fun let’s-see-a-horror-movie fear
Silken threads of you unfold into
Lily whiteness, summoned from stamen
Tender and rhythmic with life
I’m shot through with little sighs of you
I’ve killed you a thousand times with copper
If it was as simple as wanting you
I’d grow you and keep you for my own
