At ease

I clean my house, and clean, and clean.
I sing in a whisper because when I raise my voice it’s out of key.
I read about the enneagram and how to cope as a 4 under stress
so I start to see better through the light from my mirror.
Maybe if I had a baby to whisper to I could put myself at ease.
Maybe if I was better at singing, or shouting, or smirking I could
step through the glass and take my coat off at the door of a
clean apartment.
