A Gateway, I Hope

You found me hidden between words
I open my mouth and hand you a fish
You smile
We put it in a bowl and I paint your nails
“Blue” you say
I wrap the word around me
The stars shine like cans of root beer
I tell you how big my plants have grown while
you tie my shoe
I open my mouth and hand you a fish
You smile
We put it in a bowl and I paint your nails
“Blue” you say
I wrap the word around me
The stars shine like cans of root beer
I tell you how big my plants have grown while
you tie my shoe
