I THIRST FOR YOU MY WHOLE BEING

You bob candles from the ceiling threaded with tiny asteroid-hairs
A rifle pushes itself through my diaphragm
Sheep solid with mystic blinklessness

Earnestly I cork my spine
While pain marbles the roof
Where a hymnist bakes
& where the beauty of the desert suffocates itself

in a parched land i jaywalk like hexed bread
